Machine Learning for Everyone

Teachable Machine is a web application for building machine learning models. Patrons use their webcams to create their own image recognition models, or microphones for voice recognition models— zero prior knowledge required. Models can be used to recognize anything from the difference between a thumbs up and a thumbs down to a smile and frown

​The program is web based, meaning users can access it from anywhere in the world. All programs are auto saved online, eliminating lost work. Patrons can download their models for use on their own Arduino or Raspberry Pi. 

My workshops teach the basic functions of Teachable Machine and also include a technical overview of machine learning vocabulary. Through guided examples and hands-on exercises, patrons become familiar with the app. By the end of the workshop patrons will have learned the necessary skills to make their own machine learning models. This workshop works well for teens and adults and is especially popular among those looking to learn something new.
