Turn regular appliances into smart appliances

A Smart Plug is an extension cord that can be controlled from your phone or home assistant. The smart plug connects to wi-fi and is command-able with your voice if you have a Google Nest Mini— Hey Google, turn on the coffee maker! 

Plug your home appliances or electronics into a smart plug and you can turn them on and off from anywhere with internet access! Program your standard coffee maker to turn on when the sun rises, or set your air conditioner to turn on when you come home. 

My workshop teaches the basic setup and operation of a smart plug. Together we will step through initial setup and command the plug to start. By the end of the workshop patrons will have learned the necessary skills to set up and use their own smart plugs. This workshop complements the Google home workshop extremely well. It is popular among adults— especially those who recently acquired a smart plug (or looking to purchase one) and are learning to use it.
