In 2018, I proposed an idea to the staff at the Sachem Public Library— build an interactive holiday light show. Each year since then, we welcome tens of thousands of patrons as we light up the garden with tens of thousands of programmable LEDs! The show is built by the community and for the community. Patrons from all over come to walk through the garden and take in a show- the perfect mesh of technology and holiday cheer!

Since 2018, I have been working with patrons and library staff to improve the show each and every year. The show has grown significantly in scope, attendance, and bredth of technology. Garden of Lights has gained some attention from the School Library Journal, and you can hear and read advertisements for the show on your local NPR stations WSHU and WLIW.

The Garden of Lights typically opens in early December each year, and details can be found on my calendar of events.
