A cool way to display pictures of friends and family!
A lithophane is a 3D printed photograph that uses the varying thickness of the print to display different shades on the picture. A lithophane looks like a bumpy plate until you light it up from behind- the picture comes to light with stunning detail!
In this workshop, I will show you how to turn your own pictures into 3D printed lithophanes and install them into a backlit frame! I provide a backlit frame and light for you to take home, and you bring a digital copy of your photo. Makes a great gift or keep it for yourself to display at home! This workshop is perfect for the hobbyist or maker looking to try a new project. This workshop is also great for those looking to learn more about 3D printing, or the curious senior or student. As always, no prior knowledge required! |
